  From the first idea to the finished expression: brand strategy, visual identity, art direction, digital design, editorial, campaigns and content systems. I help clarify what a brand is trying to say, then figure out how it should look, sound, move and behave.

  Sometimes you don't need a whole new creative department. You just need someone who can drop into the mess of an existing system, understand what's happening, and get the thing moving. Web updates. Production. Templates. Image wrangling. Print. Signage. Catalogs. Campaign support. Systems that need fixing. Ideas that need an extra brain. Big or small, polished or gloriously last-minute... • Interior Design & Curation

  I have a soft spot for objects, spaces and the strange little ecosystems that form around them. Drawing on years spent working across design, retail, interiors and independent brands, I can help source, curate and shape spaces and product selections with a strong point of view.

• Art Direction & Content Creation

  Brands need to keep making things, but not everything needs to feel like an advertisement. I can help shape and produce the visual world around a brand: photography, video, digital, print, editorial and flexible content systems that can travel across platforms and seasons. The goal is a landscape that feels alive, recognisable and true to the brand, including when it has to sell something.

Approach

I like starting with questions rather than any prescribed solution. I look for the thing underneath the thing: what is actually trying to happen, where the friction is, what people need, and what the system is currently making possible or impossible.

I work iteratively and across disciplines, moving between strategy, language, image, interaction, technology and physical making as the problem requires. I really like ambitious ideas, useful constraints, strange detours, and making things that work as well as they look.

Most of all, I care about making things more intentional: clearer, more generous, more interesting, and a little more alive.
