JULIA’S ISABELA
Creative Direction, Interior & Digital Design

We are hard at work restoring an old building from the early 1900’s in the town placita of Isabela, Puerto Rico. Opening soon, Julia’s will serve as an eco-friendly, community conscious, boutique guest house, and events space, highlighting Latinx, Hispanic and Caribbean designers and artisan makers.

SHOPPE OBJECT, NYC Design Show
Design Director

For years, I was the powerhouse Design Director for the incredible tiny team at the boutique home and lifestyle trade-show, Shoppe Object. We concepted, launched, and grew SO, from 100 brands our inaugural season in 2018, to 500+ brands and designers to where the show is today. Adapting to the Covid-19 pandemic, we quickly pivoted to digital offerings. I lead the design of our custom B2B E-Commerce Marketplace, Shoppe Online, as well as a the production of our digital market weeks – inclusive of exciting content-drops and product-releases with our brand partners, curated editorial video highlights, and a week of live panel discussions and interactive community events. Shoppe Object and Shoppe Online were recently acquired in 2022 by International Market Centers (IMC).

Senior Designer & Strategist, 40+ Brands

“A/M’s unique, multi-faceted studio develops a broad range of comprehensive design solutions for people, brands, and companies — conceptualizing retail environments, packaging, products, identities, collateral materials, websites, and personal interior spaces.“

Choreography

“A film work of cinematic scale, Cleaner traces the creative awakening of a maintenance worker. Her movements are framed within the routines of manual labor yet set against the work environment of the tech economy. The film, shot on location at the headquarters of Kickstarter, juxtaposes the physicality of traditional labor with the abstraction of technological work through its use of soaring camera work, precise framing, and choreography inspired by every day movement. This fractured narrative exposes the tight grip of corporate social space and the precarity inherent in all forms of work today.”

ALEX ASHE
Website Design & Build

Cinematographer and Director, Alex Ashe needed a new web presence to showcase recent work across narrative and documentary film, music video, and commercial advertising projects. The new site alludes to his unique sensibilites behind camera, and offers a direct, streamlined user-journey for exploring his vast, visually stunning portfolio.

GUADALUPE MARAVILLA
MoMA, Henie Onstad, ICA Boston, Brooklyn Museum
Sound Healing, Ritual

“Inspired by Mesoamerican myths, Salvadoran traditions, and his experience as a refugee fleeing civil war, Maravilla combines readymade objects with natural and fine-art materials in works that resemble shrines or altars. Five of the sculptures called Disease Throwers on view in Luz y fuerza include gongs. They can be activated by Maravilla and his collaborators, creating an immersive sound bath with the potential for healing.”
